Flying Puffin, Skomer

I was trying something a little different on this trip - the grand plan was to pan with the puffins as they flew past (at a ridiculous speed), to try and keep the face/eye in focus and have a blurred background and wings. About 2000 photographs later...
Actually I had a bit of success and this is one of the results. Plenty of trial and error suggested a shutter speed of 1/60 second, f11, ISO 100 (trying to keep the shutter speed slow enough on a reasonably bright day and not burn out the white bits) at 200mm on the 70-200mm lens.
Not a bad effort for my first foray into this technique with puffins. Might try something a little slower next time (eg bullets). A great day out again.
