Rowan Hide

11/08/2019
The Rowan Hide is located in a field close to the tree line along the riverside. In winter it attracts small flocks of long-tailed tits to the feeding areas along with other tits and woodpecker. Perches higher in the field are designed to attract buzzards to another area for feeding. The buzzard feeding areas will be more active over the winter period to avoid disturbing nesting smaller birds in the vicinity. The hide accommodates two people with four windows (two on two adjacent sides) at seating height. The windows are covered with scrim on the outside and additional. optional black netting is available inside the hide to use if larger birds might be alarmed. A shelf inside the hide is wide enough to accommodate a bean bag support.

See the Rowan Hide gallery for examples of photographs from this hide.
